Hi Cougars,

We want to give you an update on how Corrimal Cougars Juniors is managing coronavirus (COVID-19).
The health and wellbeing of our players and their families is our number one priority.
NSWRL has held meetings to discuss the best move for our competition and expect to have some clear guidelines released in the coming few days. The reason for this email is not to insight fear but to clearly show our concern for each and everyone of our families.
We as a club have decided to cancel training tomorrow night Tuesday and wait to hear the decision made by NSWRL and the Illawarra competition. One thing we all know is any gathering of more then 500 people has been advised to be cancelled and a safe exclusion space of 1.5m. This means we would be going against all advice should we proceed. We understand that most kids are not high risk but their grandparents and any elderly people they can come in contact with would be. So we would not feel comfortable if someone was positive at training and passed to a child that then passed it on further.
We will make sure any direction given is followed but want to make sure we are protecting our families as best we can.
