Hi Cougars please see below the following update from Illawarra Rugby League. A lot of time and effort has gone into getting us up and running, unfortunately all games are postponed for this weeks round. We will keep you updated as information becomes available.

Dear all,

As a result of announcements from NSW Govt health officials this morning, the NSWRL have advised a renewed focus on the minimising the attendances at all Community Rugby League events in NSW.

Consultation with NSWRL this morning has lead to all stakeholders in the GSR region considering their position as to whether senior and junior competitions should proceed as scheduled this weekend, in view of this mornings announcement.

Following the discussions with NSWRL, the Board of Management have considered the situation and consulted with some of the stakeholders in the game in Illawarra in regards to fixtures scheduled this weekend.

As a result, the BOM wish to confirm the following;

All scheduled Round 1 fixtures in senior competitions (as below) will be postponed at least for this weekend
Open age
U18s
2nd Division
Open women’s
U18 women’s
Open age leaguetag

The BOM will convene next week to confirm how all competitions may progress from next weekend, and if draws require adjustment given the timeframe we have outlined currently with 26/27 Sept allocated for grand finals in senior competitions.

Please note also that we have also just confirmed that all junior competitions including international age u13-u16s in the Bendigo Bank Illawarra/South Coast Merged junior league, will also be postponed for this weekend, and this will also be reviewed by the BOM in the coming days.
